This active rodent never ventures far from its hole. It is orderly and diligent. It tolerates almost all animals in its territory, as long as they have no evil intentions. If the mountain beaver experiences difficulties, he is steadfast and inventive. He seldom gives up before he has found a solution. In a familiar environment the mountain beaver is quiet.
